In the event of bad weather (or other unforeseen emergency), we may cancel school for the day. If school is canceled the morning of or the night before, it will be a day off with no instruction. If we have the ability to call off school in advance and everyone can prepare, it will be a remote learning day.
Here is an example of when we will use the “inclement weather” remote learning day. Weather models predict an arctic blast for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with wind chills of -30 degrees. We make the call on Friday that the listed days will be an “inclement weather” remote learning day.
In the event of a school cancelation or remote learning day, you will receive a School Messenger call. The cancelation or remote learning day will also be posted on WGEM, KHQA, the district website, and school Facebook pages. It will also be broadcast on WCAZ radio.
