FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2025

Kindergarten Jump Start:  Wednesday, August 13 & Thursday August 14 from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.  Parents please RSVP if your child plans on attending.

Preschool Screening:  Wednesday, August 13 there will be PreK screening by appointment only.  Call 217-357-9202 to make an appointment.  

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL:  Wednesday, August 20 is the first day of school.

FALL PICTURES:  Wednesday, August 27 will be Fall Pictures at the Primary School.  

NO SCHOOL - LABOR DAY:  Monday, September 1, there will be NO SCHOOL for Labor Day.  

Fire Drill:  Wednesday, September 3, we will have a practice Fire Drill with IWHS

Fire Drill:  Tuesday, September 9, we will have a practice Fire Drill with IWHS

Law Enforcement Drill:  Wednesday, September 10, we will have a FULL Lockdown with the police department at 9:00 a.m.

Illini West Homecoming Week is September 15 - 19

EARLY DISMISSAL - School Improvement Day :  Friday, September 19, there will be Early Dismissal.  Shuttle Bus pick up is 12:20 & everyone else will dismiss at 12:30.

Fire Drill w/Fire Department:  Tuesday, September 23, we will have a Fire Drill with the Fire Department after they finish at CMS.

Shelter-in-Place Drill:  Friday, October 10, we will have a Tornado Drill at 9:00 a.m.

PICTURE RETAKES:  Wednesday, October 15 there will be Picture Re-takes at the Primary School.  

Great Shakeout - Earthquake Drill:  Thursday, October 16, we will have an Earthquake Drill at 10:16 a.m.  The Great ShakeOut is an annual earthquake drill held on the third Thursday of October.  Millions of people worldwide participate by practicing "drop, cover, and hold on" at 10:16 am local time.
