Dear Families,

Welcome back to the second semester! We are so excited to have students back in the building and to begin this next chapter of the school year together. We hope your family had a restful and refreshing break, and we look forward to a strong, successful spring.

As we move into the second half of the year, I wanted to share a few reminders and updates to help students transition smoothly back into their school routines and to provide some reassurance as we approach spring learning and assessments.

🌱 Getting Back Into the School Routine
Returning from a break can take a few days of adjustment. Helping students get back into a consistent routine at home can make a big difference. Early bedtimes, morning routines, regular attendance, and encouraging a positive mindset about school all help students feel confident and ready to learn. Please remind your child that it is okay if things feel a little “rusty” at first—we are here to support them every step of the way.

📚 Spring Learning & State Assessments (Grades 3–4)
With spring comes state assessment season for our third- and fourth-grade students. We want families to know that these assessments are just one snapshot of student learning and do not define your child. Our focus is on students doing their best, feeling calm, and approaching testing with confidence.

You can help reduce test anxiety by:
• Encouraging your child to do their best and not worry about being perfect
• Making sure they get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast
• Offering reassurance that teachers are proud of their effort, not just their scores

At school, we will continue to support students with encouragement, familiar routines, and a calm testing environment.

🕒 After-School Program (Grades K–4)
We are pleased to continue offering our After-School Program for students in grades K–4 at the primary school. The program runs each school day after dismissal until 5:30 PM and offers flexible scheduling options to meet family needs. If you would like more information or have questions about enrollment, please contact Mrs. Hali Wear, our After-School Program Coordinator.

💬 Communication: Rooms
Rooms continues to be our primary communication tool. Please be sure you are connected through our school app so you do not miss important updates, reminders, or messages from teachers and the office.
